We’ve long been admirers of our fellow rule breakers - colorful individuals, leading soul-driven lives, whose everyday existence challenges the norm. In our WE CHALLENGE series for SS24, we chat to our C~RUSH club about what makes them feel most alive ~ and which soft COLORUSH styles they’d choose to accompany them on their life’s adventures.

TELL US ABOUT YOU ~ WHO YOU ARE, WHAT MAKES YOU TICK & HOW & WHERE DO YOU SPEND YOUR DAYS?
My name is Vaimiti, I'm 27 and I'm a Tahitian longboarder. I have a deep love for my island & my culture. I also keep nurturing my curiosity for this world and I love traveling to new places. A typical day at home would start with a sunrise surf followed by a nourishing breakfast, then I would sometimes teach as a substitute teacher for elementary school kids or coach some surfers on their longboard skills. And then, I let life surprise me on days I am away from home. :-)
WHAT BRING JOY & COLOR TO YOUR LIFE?
Surfing. And with surfing comes sharing. And with sharing comes connection. It’s the most unique feeling in the world, being on your board in the ocean, surrounded by nature. I think it makes you more humble and grateful for the simple things in life.
I am so stoked that I can share my passion for surfing through the surf retreats I host. This is just the beginning, but my dream would be to be able to do this full-time.

Sunrise surf, nourishing food, nap, sunset surf. I could do this all life long.
HOW DO YOU ‘CHALLENGE’ THE EVERYDAY? (EVERYDAY NORMS/SOCIETY’S EXPECTATIONS ETC.)
I keep believing that real wealth is when you have the freedom to do what makes you happy. This is something I live by, every moment of every day. Breaking the rules, breaking the code and becoming a badass is within reach for us all.
WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO ‘LOOK’ FOR THE DAY AND THE NIGHT?
Perfect day attire: A 2-pieces bikini, a pareo or flowy pants and a flower on your ear.
Perfect night attire: A long backless dress, heels and a flower on your ear.
